Sean O’Brien, Mary White Elementary Principal

Sean O’Brien grew up in Muskogee, OK and graduated from Muskogee High School. He has been in education for over 33 years: 23 years as a teacher and 10+ as an administrator. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Education from NSU-Tahlequah and a Masters of Education (M.ED) in Leadership and Policy Studies from University of Texas-Arlington. He has been the Principal of Mary White Elementary since fall of 2021.
I'm very excited and blessed to be the Assistant Principal at Mary White Elementary. I attended elementary, middle school, and high school in my hometown of Okemah. After graduation, I went on to pursue a Bachelor's Degree from St. Gregory's University in Shawnee, OK where I was also fortunate to play baseball for four more years. I've been in education for 13 years, and serving in administration for the last two of those. I've been married to my beautiful wife Alex for 5 years, and together we have 3 amazing children. In my spare time I love sports, hunting/fishing, and spending time with my family. I'm looking forward to another amazing year of helping future generations of Haymakers continue to grow.
