Dear Parents/Guardians, 

I am reaching out to inform you that in the following days from November 20, 2024, through December 6, 2024. During the day your child comes to class with me, I will be discussing body safety with the class, as well as internet safety. We will be discussing 5 rules to keep their body safe. I understand this is a sensitive topic but we have to prepare our children to be able to say no and speak up when these situations happen. The importance of this topic is due to statistics showing that 1 in 5 girls and 1 in 20 boys are victims of abuse nation wide. 

The following is an example of the language being used when addressing this topic. 

“Private Parts are part of the Body that are covered by My Underwear or Bathing Suit.”

"Private Parts only Belong To You, You can Say NO!"
