Habit 2: Clear Expectations

It is important that leaders know what to do. Clear Expectations help them to be successful. 

We read The Very Busy Spider by Eric Carle. Questions we asked/ answered:

• What was the Spider’s Goal? (Create a web for food)
• Did she know what was expected to meet this goal? (Yes, stay focused on creating her web).
• Why was she making a spider web? (to catch food)
• Did she allow anything to distract her from achieving her goal? (No) 

Students holding up their spiders inspired by the book. They’re standing in front of our Promethean board it reads: Leader in Me Habit #2: Begin with the End in Mind. 

Students also helped create a spider web as a group using twine.
